The castle hill and Klopp Castle are essential components of Bingen's townscape, history and identity. As one of the central elements of Bingen's open space system, the castle hill will offer a wide range of attractive attractions as a panoramic park in the future. Based on the existing structure, three sub-areas will be differentiated and designed according to their characteristic features. Their variation in terms of topography, space, vegetation and atmosphere contributes to a balanced diversity. Whether built, stone and horticulturally representative on the castle plateau, shady and enchanted in the overgrown moat or with a panoramic view on the meadow slope. Climate-adapted with around 100 new trees planted, the park will be a place for contemplation and activity even on hot days, for basking in the sun and relaxing in the cooling shade. The addition of barrier-free paths across the castle hill is the basis for an open space for everyone, which in future will be accessible as a park via a network of paths, largely without thresholds.
